othrwrld’s debut release on OBSKUR opens the portal to a hyperreal world of sounds, seamlessly fusing weightless breaks and airy trance in this uplifting 3-track EP from the up and coming Portland producer and DJ. Exploring deep textures and propulsive beats, the subtly evolving melodies of softly hypnotic opener “muses speak through ether” give way to the veiled intensity of “bare feet pound mossy forest floor,” a driving, ethereal rhythmic meditation transported by vaporous basslines and mesmeric grooves. Closing with the downtempo atmospheres of “energies move through meridian conduit,” this release channels the dreamy energies of forest renegades and underground dancefloors to unfold a futuristic vision of queer and trans joy through sound and movement.
